A two-hour web-based training
Shame is a powerful, aversive emotion that frequently occurs and can be difficult to treat. Research indicates that the experience of shame is associated with many target behaviours, including suicidal ideation, substance abuse, and eating disorders. When left untreated, shame can block progress and increase the risk of relapse. This web-based training will help clinicians identify and define shame, present clear clinical rationale for targeting shame, and implement treatment strategies to reduce shame.
This training event is being co-hosted with our colleagues DBT Training Australia.

This is an intermediate to advanced level DBT training. It presumes some prior DBT training and an understanding of core DBT concepts.
